Embroidery – Attempt #1

I have decided to attempt some embroidery and this time I’m jumping in without the punch tool. Whoo-hoo! I’m goin’ for it! I have a little art project I am working on and I thought some handsewn embroidery would add a fun touch. We will see how it all comes out.

My inspiration came from one of the sewing books I just recently read through. Anna Maria Horner’s book, Seams To Me. It has been an excellent source not only for inspiration, but for a little refresher course in Sewing 101. She mentions embroidery and shows a few stitches and, well…I decided it’s time to dust off the ol’ hoop and give it a shot.
