This week I decided to take advantage of Joann’s Coupon Commotion sale and stock up on some more PJ fabric. I wanted another flannel set, but at $6.99 per yard and more cutsie patterns than plain to choose from, I had been putting it off. Now that the flannel is $1.99 per yard I decided that pink elephants on a gray background are perfectly acceptable for a grown woman’s pajamas!
I am also going to see if I can’t score something to make these pants for my little man.
I thought this basic pattern (and only one from McCall’s that seemed boyish enough) could be modified for fun, summer attire, as well as, something nicer minus the cargo pockets. Hopefully Joann’s will have some lightweight corduroy available for a trial run. If that goes well I plan to use some madras plaid or seersucker to make a less rugged pair for his Easter outfit. We will see how it goes. They look simple enough!
Famous last words, right?
Wish me luck!
Erika
PS- Are you guys sewing anything special for Easter this year?
